For our genre, me and my group got Pop. The first thing we did was search current trends in the pop industry to try get an idea of what we need to follow and what is currently trending. After that, we researched how some famous Pop stars came to fame, and what they had to do to get to their current status. Something that really helped us was watching YouTube/documentaries about their lives to know how they started getting into music and what they did to get to that A level status that they currently hold. We also researched their companies/labels that they work for. Something that greatly helped us with this were the research charts that we made about different pop artist.
In Pop, we saw many feminine trends with men going on, so that is the approach we decided to take with ours. He is going to be soft and have a lover boy type of vibe. We are going to make him start off by singing in bars and schools, and mostly small places, due to his unknown status that will progress. We will have poster boards with his name and @'s on all social medias so that people can check him out and he can get more popular and grow.
For the music video process, we decided to go with a lovey type of video to not only match his personality, but to also match the song, as it is mostly about love. After releasing the video, our artist will continue growing, selling posters and merch, and going on tour with big name artist like Harry Styles and The Weeknd.
